Five books selected for "The Day I Looked Up at the Sky"
"The Day I Looked Up at the Sky" was created with the image of a scene to convey feelings of labor to those who have crossed a major life mountain, such as childbirth, retirement, or job change. The word "Hibi" is stamped in foil in iridescent colors. The color changes depending on the angle, just like the color of the sky, which varies depending on who is looking at it.
"Hibi" is written on each wrapping paper. We would like to introduce a selection of books by all the expressive people who contributed, along with their comments.

The blue sky Some people are afraid to look up. After reading this book, I began to think about that every time I look up at the sky. It may be something you can never understand if you live in peace. In Ukraine, where the national flag with the wheat field and blue sky is impressive, there are still many people who hide underground and are afraid of the blue sky. May we never forget such imagination.

I received the news that my father passed away. I got the news that he had passed away. On the road to my parents' house, the too beautiful sunset I saw from the car my brother was driving sometimes comes back to me with a twinge of emotion in the back of my nose.
Whenever I am confronted with parting or loss, it is always "words" that pull me up. Words are the ones that gently share our grief and pain, and allow us to spend time together in acceptance.... I open this book many times and find words that feed my heart.

"Me? ? / This is a very conceited / person." (from the poem "Self-Introduction")
An anthology of poet Yamanokuchi Baku's autobiography. The selection is very good. Reading Baku's magnificent poems, even our spirits are lifted. He is so natural. The sky that he looks up at with such a big heart must be very honest.
