Case 2: "The Key to Deep Breathing is Habituation" - HAA Member Hiraoka's Case

【連載│暮らしのなかの深呼吸】Case2 “深呼吸の鍵は習慣化”~HAAメンバー平岡の場合~

In this series, we will highlight the daily lives of our unique HAA members and introduce their own "deep breathing life.

The members are diverse in age, gender, place of residence, and lifestyle, but what they all have in common is the desire to "live a life with deep breathing.

Hiraoka works as a HAA staff member.
In addition to being involved in production management and product planning, Hiraoka also serves as a point of contact with customers and suppliers, responding to their inquiries.
He usually works from home (remote work), but sometimes he accompanies the staff on site inspections.
"My head is always full of work!
We asked Hiraoka for his tips on how to balance work and household chores while also taking time for HAA time (= time for deep breathing).

Schedule for one day

time_ schedule

CHECK ①▶ Prepare dinner in the morning
.

--When I heard about the daily schedule, I was surprised to hear that they prepare dinner in the morning.

"I used to cook dinner after work, but it felt tedious when I was tired, and I often ended up using prepared foods that I had bought. ......

--It is true that by preparing in the morning, you can concentrate on your daytime work and reduce the number of tasks at night, killing two birds with one stone. Although it doesn't reduce the amount of housework you have to do, just changing the time may change your mood and create a comfortable rhythm.

CHECK 2 ▶ Running while shopping

--You have been doing well with exercise. Do you have any tips on how to keep up?

"I work on a computer, so I inevitably don't get enough exercise. I try to exercise to the extent that I can, such as going for a short run while shopping. It simply relieves stress and makes me feel good."

Deep breathing in daily life

Deep breathing in daily life

Hiraoka manages to balance housework and work, but we asked him when he can take a deep breath in his daily life.

1. Before work, I take a warm drink and say "Ha~!

teatime

"I always have a hot drink before work to take a break. It's an absolutely essential habit for me to switch off. I like tea, so I also enjoy choosing my favorite herbal tea or Taiwanese tea, depending on my mood that day.

2. During the rest of the lunch break, I take a break from games
.

"During my one-hour lunch break, I often eat something simple like natto rice or leftover side dishes in about 10 minutes. The rest of the time I recharge my batteries by playing games or doing something I enjoy, and then head off to work in the afternoon.

3. How to spend an evening to cherish both couple time and alone time
.

"Evenings are the time when I can relax the most, so I want to cherish both couple time and alone time. Recently, my husband and I have become addicted to foreign dramas, and we spend a lot of time watching them together. I would even say that I prepare dinner in the morning in order to have this time (laughs).

music

Before going to bed, I usually relax by listening to music, using only indirect lighting in my room. I listen to jazz, rap, or any other genre of music. At the end of the day, I feel that having a warm drink and relaxing myself helps me fall into a deep sleep."

Both time together as a couple and time alone are important. Only a comfortable night will allow you to start the next morning feeling good again.

The key to securing HAA time is to make it a habit.

"My day starts with a warm drink.

Hiraoka says, and this habit seems to be his HAA time, as well as the switch that turns him on and off.

teatime

Five years ago I moved to Shizuoka and it was very cold. At first, simply to warm up my body, I started drinking white water first thing in the morning and herbal tea at night. Then I noticed that my sleep somehow became better and I felt relieved. I have continued to do so every day since then."

In the midst of my busy life, I try to remember to take deep breaths.

In order not to forget to take deep breaths in our busy lives, it may be a very good way to incorporate HAA time into our daily routine as a habit.

My favorite is the large capacity HAA for bath 900g.

Hiraoka, who soaks in the bath every day, uses the large-capacity HAA for bath 900g.

"Unlike individually packaged products, I like the fact that I can adjust the amount depending on how tired I am or how I feel that day.

Luxurious bath time is made possible by the large volume package.

We hope you will try it, too.
