How to incorporate deep breathing - summer regimen

深呼吸の取り入れ方~夏の養生編~

From the rainy season to early summer, humidity and heat increase rapidly.
Many people may easily become ill during the change of seasons.
It is at times like these that we need to take a deep breath.
In this issue of the Journal, under the theme of "Deep Breathing x Summer Cures," we will introduce three recommended ways to incorporate deep breathing into your daily life.
We would be happy if this could be an opportunity for you to observe your own condition and get through the summer in good health.

1. When you want to store nourishment in your mind, "ha~" by reading.

2. When the hot weather continues, it is hard to go out, isn't it? At such times, how about deepening your breathing by reading slowly?
What we are going to introduce here is a book that we recommend when you feel like taking a deep breath.

Necessity of Deep Breathing" by Hiroshi Nagata / Kadokawa Haruki Jyusho

The author is the poet Hiroshi Nagata.

The 33 prose poems in this collection are carefully worded to convey childhood memories, original landscapes, the sparkle in everyday life, the subtleties of the heart, and self-questioning questions to the reader, inviting him or her to breathe deeply.
The book can be carried around in one's bag or looked at in one's spare time, not to mention when at home. The comfortable rhythm of the words and the worldview will bring you a deep breath.

2. When you want to know the state of your body, "Ha~" with the fragrance.

Pleasant scents naturally deepen our breathing. There are various types of fragrances, including those that can be enjoyed at home, such as incense and aromatic oils, and those that can be used on the go, such as cologne and mists.
While there is a wide range of fragrances, what is interesting is that even the same person can choose a different fragrance depending on his or her physical and mental state at the time.

When you are sleep deprived, choose a scent that leads to restful sleep, such as lavender, or when you want to refresh yourself, choose an invigorating scent, such as peppermint.
The fragrance you intuitively choose will tell you what your body is really seeking. One way to use the power of fragrance as a barometer of your condition.

3. If you want to work on both your mind and body, "ha~" in the bath.

4. The last thing we would like to introduce is also bathing.

Bathing is said to be effective for relieving fatigue, getting a good night's sleep, and relaxing, but are the physical benefits of bathing the only ones to be gained? The answer is no.

After soaking in a bath, a breath of "Ha~" leaks out. It is a moment of relaxation when the head becomes empty.

Even if your body is not tired, there are probably many people who soak in the bathtub every day in search of this feeling of mental release.
This approach to the mind is also a good way to empty your head and let go of the things you are currently holding on to, such as work, family, and relationships. This approach to the mind is another major attraction of bathing.

The HAA for bath series is packed with a variety of innovations to help you relax both body and mind through bathing.

For example, this card enclosed with HAA for bath (pack of 10). It has words such as relaxed, happy, gloomy, etc. that ask you about your current state of mind.

Once you have chosen your state, pick up a bath salts with a wrapper of the same color and open it. On the back of the wrapping paper is a text on the theme of "days," and reading it will help you breathe more deeply.

Although often used as a gift, we also recommend it as a reward and care for yourself. We hope you will experience bath time with deep breathing.

This summer, take a deep breath and enjoy a healthy body and mind!

When trying to keep up with the speed at which the seasons change, people tend to push themselves too hard. Perhaps that is why we need to take time to listen to our minds and bodies more than usual and look at ourselves.

We are at the turn of the year. At this time of year, when the seasons are changing dramatically, try taking deep breaths as part of your summer regimen.
