Case 4: Living in multiple locations in Japan and overseas. What is the source of your vitality? ~The case of HAA member Uchino

【連載│暮らしのなかの深呼吸】Case4.日本と海外の多拠点生活。バイタリティの源は?~HAAメンバー内野の場合~

In this series, we will highlight the daily lives of our unique HAA members and introduce their own "deep breathing life.

The HAA members are diverse in age, gender, place of residence, and lifestyle, but what they all have in common is the desire to "live a life with deep breathing.

The fourth installment is the life of Uchino, who is responsible for HAA's overseas business.

Profile

Uchinoh runs a consulting business for the esthetic and spa industry in Japan and abroad (mainly in Europe). He supports HAA's overseas business by attending business meetings online while abroad and in Japan. For this issue, we conducted an online interview with Ms. Uchino while she was in Bulgaria. We talked to him about his multi-location life in Japan and overseas from the perspective of deep breathing and HAA time.

One day's schedule (at the time of the interview: while in Bulgaria)

We have a very tight schedule due to the time difference with our clients. We work almost from early morning until late at night. How do you ensure HAA time (time to take a deep breath) and organize your life?

Short periods of time when I'm busy, and full rest when I can afford it.

"When I am abroad, I do yoga before going to bed and radio exercises after waking up to turn my body and mind on and off in a short time.

"I love taking a bath, but as you know, there is no culture of soaking in a bathtub overseas. I love taking a bath, but as you all know, there is no culture of slow soaking in a bathtub in other countries. Instead, I often take a footbath before going to bed. When I add a small amount of HAA for bath to a bowl of hot water, the water feels soft and warm, and I can feel my feet warming up. I feel that I sleep better on days when I take a footbath than on days when I just take a shower. It is a habit that I cannot do without on days when I am tired."

"Another HAA time during my stay abroad is to enjoy the local cuisine of the country. This is a Bulgarian specialty called tarator. It is a cold yogurt soup with a refreshing taste that goes down your throat.

"When I stay in Japan, I often have time in my schedule to relax and look at the garden from the porch of my parents' house, and sometimes I even take a nap. I let the local, leisurely pace of time flow through me, and I take a good rest to restore my energy.

The culture and national character of a country can be seen in the way they relax.

"As I move back and forth between Japan and other countries, I feel that my lifestyle and thinking changes dramatically depending on where I am. For example, I have the impression that people in other countries don't care much about being seen and are relaxed everywhere. They are lying on the grass in the park or tanning in a bathing suit. On the other hand, when I am in Japan, I have the impression that many people are somewhat concerned about being seen when they are outside, but when they come home to their private space, they relax and say, "Ha~". I also subconsciously sense such an atmosphere, and I feel that the way they relax varies depending on the country they are staying in."

"Overseas, when I talk about relaxation methods, so many people talk about Zen. That is how widely the idea of Zen, which was first introduced in Japan, has spread abroad. It seems that Zen also has a breathing method, and I hope that HAA's idea of 'Bringing deep breaths to everyday life' will spread overseas as well."

"I am very happy that HAA's concept of "bringing deep breaths to everyday life" is spreading abroad.

Be yourself wherever you are.

Uchinoh ventures abroad alone from Japan to develop his own business. He works in a place where the language and culture are different.
There must have been a number of hardships in the background. However, her speech is always cheerful and light, and you never feel any of the hardships that lie behind it.

Even if there are obstacles in her way, she continues to follow the path she believes in.

It is not only relaxation that deep breathing leads to.
When we feel like we are losing ourselves or need strength to move forward, deep breathing gives us strength.

This interview gave me a new appreciation for deep breathing from a slightly different angle.
